Summer of Charity

So over the next couple of months we will try to sort out some community charity events for anyone and everyone to take part in, this is to try and get the community together, to raise awareness and raise some money for a local charity and papyrus.

A couple of idea's we've had are:

World record water balloon fight, so far the record is 8,957 participants and was achieved by Christian Student Fellowship at the University of Kentucky (USA) in Lexington, USA, on 27 August 2011 with 175,141 water balloons being used during the fight.

After reading this its properly a massive benchmark to reach but were sure we can get a huge turnout and if we don't break the record at least everyone would of had some fun and be together.

My next thought was for something completely free, a walk from Andover to Winchester, I did this walk when i was maybe 15 and yes its about 6hours long but through the countryside so on a summers day who can complain. I will try and get routes planned and sorted ASAP.

We Feel strongly that we should teach and show support to people of all ages so or anyone with younger brothers and sisters this will be good for you. were hoping to get the council to let us use watermills for the day to have bouncy castles, stalls, face painting etc activities aimed at younger people but also still things for everyone.


All events will get their own pages once details have been sorted and confirmed for each.


And the finally the BIG ONE!!!!

Climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa this Sept.  This mountain is the 'Roof of Africa' and is the highest peak on the continent at 5,895 meters (or 19,341 feet).  It is non-technical but will take 10 days 12-14 hours per day,  So that should be a bit of a challenge.

So this year were investing a lot of our free time to train and get ready to climb this epic mountain and put on some events in honor of our family, friends and loved ones and to make people aware that no matter how low you feel, how much you just want it all to end there will always be someone to talk too.

I'm not asking you to give me a massive amount just £1 is amazing and its £1 closer to helping save someones life.
