Welcome to our fundraising campaign for Sumak Kawsay in the sacred valley of Peru!

Sumak Kawsay was created with the vision of providing access to quality education for children from all backgrounds, regardless of their socio-economic status. Located in the heart of the Andes, our school serves as a beacon of hope and opportunity for children who might not otherwise have access to educational resources.

We have been building an a very special alternative school in Sillacancha in the Sacred Valley starting in 2020 named SumaK Kawsay (the Good Life). From humble beginnings we have grown to a community of 45 families and nearly 70 children. Currently we have children from age 3-10 and each year will be adding a grade. We have outgrown our small rental facility and are on a mission to build a new school facilities so we can continue to flourish and bring much needed whole human education. We are reaching out to our community here so you know of this beautiful project and ask if you can please support our growth. We are initiating a crowd funding campaign and we deeply appreciate your support to offer a donation small or large and to please share this campaign with your friends and family. We are happy to be a part of this beautiful community and are happy to offer our part to support it’s evolution!

Our alternative educational model is designed to meet the unique needs of our students. We provide a comprehensive education that goes beyond traditional academics, incorporating life skills, vocational training, and personal development. Our teachers are trained to deliver personalized attention and support to every student, ensuring that they receive the guidance and mentorship they need to succeed.

But we can't do it alone. As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of donors like you to help us keep our doors open and provide our students with the resources and support they need to thrive.

Here's what your donation can help us accomplish:

1. Improve and build Infrastructure: Our school is in need of repairs and upgrades to create a safe and comfortable learning environment for our students. Your donation can help us fund renovations and to build up our classrooms, bathrooms, and outdoor facilities.

2. Expand Programs: We believe in providing our students with a well-rounded education that includes life skills and vocational training. Your donation can help us expand our programs to include things like cooking classes, computer skills training, permaculture, education in nature and other practical skills that will help our students succeed in the workforce.

3. Hire and Train Teachers: Our teachers are the heart and soul of our school. Your donation can help us recruit and train more teachers, ensuring that our students receive the personalized attention and support they need to succeed.

4. Provide Scholarships: Many of our students come from families who cannot afford the cost of education. Your donation can help us provide scholarships and financial aid to these families, ensuring that their children have the opportunity to receive a quality education.
