Study Abroad in Ireland

Hi! My name is Carolina Portillo and I am 20 years old. I am currently in the process of completing my undergraduate degree in Biology at the Universtiy of Texas Pan-American located in Edinburg, Texas. After that, I plan on attending medical school to become a pediatric surgeon. I want to take the opportunity of asking help to raise money for my study abroad for the spring of 2015. College is a time of transitioning from being a child/teenager to becoming an adult. The process has its ups & downs, but for the most part, it should be a pretty smooth & fun experience. I have had a hard time lately finding out who I really am & what I want out of life, and I believe it is a little harder to do so when I'm surrounded by people who have known me for at least the past decade. Studying abroad for me means a road to self-discovery. It will be a time used not only in getting ahead with my degree while enjoying magical views, but also to detox from the monotony I have encountered in the last 2 years. Sadly, my family does not have enough funds to support me financially. This is why I need your help. In addition to what I will raise here, I will also be applying for scholarships, which are hard to get because of the whole international grounds thing. Also, I have been saving the tips I get as a waitress/bartender for a good 2 months now. This is the experience of a lifetime & I really hope it can become a reality.
