Struggling Sci-fi Author

I've always have been an advocate of supporting local and new artists of any medium, whether it is illustration, music, dance, acting, or writing.  I know how hard it is in this economy for artists to get the recognition they deserve.  Art in any form is culture, and should be encouraged and supported.  In these ecomonic times it's even harder because when money is tight, people cut out the extras; the luxuries.  Artists work to perfect their craft and do so mostly at their own expense.        So I had decided recently to try and write and publish my first ever sci-fi novel, and I decided instead of pleading with publishing companies to publish my work, that I would self-publish it.  This of course is a rather exspensive road though.  It requires money for illustration, editing, printing, and marketing/advertising.  I'm looking to raise funds to help me make this dream of publishing books a reality.  I only ask you donate what you can to my cause.  Every donated dollar I receive goes right towards this project.  I am setting up a seperate account that will remain seperate from my personal bills.  Please donate and remember to support local and new artists!
