My mother had a stroke and I have quit my job to take care of her. I moved us into town so I could be close to doctors and make it easy access for her to go up and down steps. To do that I had to sell alot of stuff. I sold my refrigerator, washer, dryer, old lawnmower, tiller and some furniture. I have a little compact (dorm style) refrigerator that we are using now. I especially need a better sofa for Mom to sit on and some new clothes for her. I am stuck with an old sofa just to get by on for now. I am especially concerned about how the legs wobble some and I have to twist them to tighten them up frequently. Also the arm rest has rotted away and doesn't provide a good grip for Mom to raise herself up from the sofa. I am not wanting a brand new refrigerator or sofa, it will be a good used ones from the Thrift Store or Salvation Army. For the last 4 months I have been strapped with some huge bills, plus make car payments and can't get caught up. I am getting a small amount of money from Medicaid every month but it has been so hard to get by. We could really use a financial boost right now.  I am hoping for $200.00 for used sofa and refrigerator. I hate to ask for money because I always worked to get what I needed. But I couldn't just let Mom rot away in a nursing home remembering all the things she has done for me in my lifetime. We have always been very close like two sisters would be. She would do it for me. And she has made remarkable progress since she has been home! I am biting my pride to help my Mother. I deeply appreciate your help at this difficult time in our lives.
