Stop Our Silence (SOS) is Gendered Intelligence's sponsored silence fundraising campaign. It aims to raise money and awareness around the bullying and mistreatment that so many young transgender people face day to day in schools, colleges, and universities around the country.
During Anti-Bullying Week 2014 (17th - 23rd of November), we are asking 100 people to remain silent for 24 hours each to raise awareness around gender-based and transphobic bullying. We hope to give young people the courage to seek support for the bullying they are facing.
How it works: 100 for 100
Stop Our Silence is looking for 100 people to raise £100 each for their sponsored silence. The money can be collected from friends, family members, colleagues and anyone else via:
- paper form
- here on gogetfunding!
Participants can donate the money they collect or ask their sponsors to donate directly to our gogetfunding page.
If you are sponsoring someone via this page, please fill out this form afterwards so we can keep track of who is sponsoring who!
We also welcome general donations from anyone who would like to support Stop Our Silence.
