Please help Thomas and Faith pay for their mum Stephanie's funeral.
Weeks after Grandma Marisa received the devastating news that she had oesophagul cancer, her daughter Stephanie was found dead, we think from an accidental overdose, a cry for help, aged just 32. Steph had never really recovered from the death of her first son, baby Owen.
Why you might help
Thomas (8) and Faith (9) have the double blow of losing their mum in this dreadful way and having to live away from their grandad Terry and grandma Marisa, who has a battle to fight for her own life. Social services have placed them with Stephanie's divorced husband Phil, who is to remarry this month. Marisa and Terry have been the only stable influence in their young lives for years and they had been living with them for months until Marisa's diagnosis.
Marisa and Terry want to give their daughter a good funeral; they have to wait until the autopsy results and release of Steph's body before they can apply for a Death Grant - they have no funds themselves.
Any funds left over from the funeral expenses will pay for the children to go on holiday in Cornwall (a favourite childhood holiday haunt of their mum, Stephanie), hopefully taken there by Terry and Marisa, between treatments. Anything else raised will go into an account for Thomas and Faith's future needs.
What you might give
Any amount, no matter how small, will help this worthwhile cause and show Thomas and Faith that good things can happen in their lives. Please forward the details to anyone you think might want to help
