Stem cell treatment for Maria Jose

Hi, this is our little family, we are the proud parents of our little girl, Maria Jose, we dearly call her Marijo, she will be 7 years old this October.

When Maria turned 13 months old we began to see significant changes in her, stopped making eye contact and started exhibiting abnormal behaviors. Maria lost interest in learning, pretend play, trying new foods and interacting with others. I knew at this time something was wrong with Maria and feared she was drifting off into her own isolated world.

By the time she turned 3 years old she was diagnosed with autism. It broke our hearts to hear "she's autistic" but we suspected the verdict and mentally prepared ourselves for the official diagnosis.

Maria began receiving seven therapy sessions a week at the age of 18 months: speech therapy, occupational therapy, developmental therapy, physical therapy, behavioral therapy.

Our lives has changed a lot during the last couple of years when decided to move to UK. We have found really special people in our new home that has helped us along the way, and have made a room in their hearts for Maria.

As of today, Maria is non-verbal, struggles with eye contact, communication and comprehension of the world around her.

But with all that being said, Maria is what you see in the photos. She is a happy loving girl with a smile that will steal your heart; she loves hugs, music, watching The Gruffalo story, swimming in pools, spending time at splash pads and water parks, jumping on trampolines...but she is trapped in her own mind.

We are still waiting for spontaneous speech to happen. This of course causes massive frustration for her in not being able to tell her family what she is feeling inside and what she wants and needs. We live for the day we hear our girl speaking, saying "I love you mama".

We dream for the day that Maria recognizes that she has a family that loves her unconditioanlly.

There is a treatment that has made significant improvements in children who have been diagnosed with autism but it is not available in the United Kingdom. This therapy is called STEM CELL THERAPY and is offered at the Stem Cell Therapy Center in Ukraine.

The stem cells are given to the child through an IV infusion. In some cases there have been minimal gains and in other cases there have been significant gains. Our daughter is almost 7 years old and the sooner she receives the treatment the more likely it will be successful.

Hola, esta es nuestra pequeña familia, somos los orgullosos padres de María José, la llamamos cariñosamente Marijo, cumplirá 7 años este octubre.

Cuando María tenía alrededor de 13 meses, comenzamos a ver cambios significativos en ella, dejó de hacer contacto visual y comenzó a exhibir comportamientos particulares. María perdió interés en aprender, en jugar con otros niños, probar nuevos alimentos e interactuar con los demás. Algo no estaba bien.

Cuando cumplió los 3 años, le diagnosticaron autismo. Fue un duro golpe escuchar "es autista", pero sospechabamos el diagnóstico y asumimos que nuestra niña es diferente, nos enfocamos en estudias, aprender, para tener herramientas que nos permitan ayudarle de una mejor manera.

María comenzó a recibir siete sesiones de terapia a la semana a la edad de 18 meses: terapia del habla, terapia ocupacional, terapia del desarrollo, terapia física, terapia conductual.

En la actualidad, María es no verbal, tiene dificultades para el contacto visual y la comprensión, tiene dificultad para seguir instrucciones sencillas, tiene algunos obsesiones y comportamientos repetitivos, sobrecarga sensorial, crisis de llanto.

Pero aun asi, María es lo que ves en las fotos, una niña cariñosa y feliz, con una sonrisa que te robará el corazón; le encanta la música, ver la historia de El Gruffalo, nadar en piscinas, juegos acuáticos, saltar en trampolin ... pero está atrapada en su propia mente.

Todavía estamos esperando que suceda el habla espontánea. Esto, por supuesto, le causa una gran frustración al no poder decirle a su familia lo que siente, lo que quiere y lo que necesita. Vivimos para el día en que escuchemos a Marijo hablando ... diciendo "Te amo mamá".

Soñamos con el día en que María reconozca que tiene una familia que la ama incondicionalmente.

Existe un tratamiento que ha logrado mejoras significativas en los niños a los que se les ha diagnosticado autismo, pero no está disponible en el Reino Unido. Esta terapia se llama TERAPIA CON CÉLULAS MADRE y se ofrece en el Centro de Terapia con Células Madre en Ucrania.
