We are a Devon-based sab group affiliated with the Hunt Saboteurs' Association. This sponsored dog walk accross dartmoor will help raise much needed funds to keep us protecting our wildlife, we need to keep our vehicle on the road, and purchase equipment that enables us to do our job. We take direct action in the field and prevent organised hunts killing our wildlife. Most commonly we are involved in actions against the badger cull, fox and hare hunts, but we also try and make the lives of shoots more complicated. We work with and team-up with other sab groups when needed. Despite the Hunting Ban introduced by the previous government sabs and monitors witness week in week out hunts blatantly hunting animals across the country. As sabs we do what we can to monitor those hunts and where necessary directly intervene to help the hunted animal. We spent four days last week sett surveying in Somerset and are out again several times this week. If you can't get involved in person, can you contribute to our fuel costs? Our sabs are extremely dedicated and spend a lot of their personal time and money on the cause but we really have our hands full this summer. We will do everything we can to protect the badgers but to do so we need your support. We need to finish all our sett surveying before the cull starts, as we can only protect the setts if we know where they are. Thank you to everyone who has already donated and also sent messages of support. It means a lot to us and keeps us going through all the sunburns, ticks and blisters!
