The Spitskop Community Project is a project based in a very rural part of the Eastern Freestate, South Africa. There are 23 communities in total that are going to benefit from this project, helping a lot of people, making them self sustainable, creating their own income, helping out disadvantage people and giving back to society. This project is for all ages and genders, educated and non educated. This project will focus on practical work experience and learning all at the same time. This project will open up the door for so many people giving them a chance to be able to contribute to society, work, learn and to provide for their own families. The project consists of three parts:
Part 1:
Agri Training School: Here they will learn all about agriculture, livestock, vegetable, management, lands, irrigation, animal health, and a lot more
Part 2 : A community kitchen that will make soup and bread. Soup will be made from the vegetable gardens. We believe everyone is entitled to a meal a day. This community soup kitchen will provide a meal for families in need, children's homes, old age homes, hospices, hospitals, clinics, schools and anyone that is in need for a meal. Here woman will also be teached a skill or make art, where they can make there own products to sell, generating their own income and providing for there kids and family. Getting a clinic up and running as there is no health care nearby and a day care, with a school, so the kids will be safe while their mom is at work.
Part 3: Mentoring and assisting the communities to market their livestock, vegetable and products on the local and international markets.
A huge part of this project is to educated people on the welfare of all animals. We have done a lot of work on helping out with horses as it is sometimes the only transport these people have.
All proceeds donated will be used to uplift the communities, resoring old buildings to be used as a school, clinic and kitchen and getting the school, clinic and kitchen up and running.
