Special Needs Support Volunteer

Hello!

I have decided to head to Barcelona Spain in September where I will be volunteering for two weeks. My time will be spent helping individuals living with mental and/or physical disabilities.

In Barcelona, they have no mainstream education programs developed for those living with certain disabilities. During my time, I will be assisting with ADLs prn, as well as providing support with physical therapy, implementing exercise regimens and programming such as swimming, games or walking dogs and also assisting with arts and crafts. My main goal will be to improve their quality of life by helping them become integrated within their communities, live a less stigmatized life, and properly educate them on how to achieve a healthy lifestyle.

The expenses that come with this trip are significant and I would be extremely grateful for any donation that helps me accomplish this exciting experience.
