On the 18th July next year I start a 3 month volunteering programme just off of Cape Town in South Africa. The programme involves spending Monday - Friday at a children's school. These children come from very disadvantaged backgrounds, and us volunteers will be there to teach them basics literacy and numeracy skills, whilst also part-taking in a number of different development schemes aimed to improve not only the children's, but the wider community's way of life.
I am doing this programme through the company Real Gap (you can see more about the trip in the link if you would like to know more). As expected, there is a cost to all this and I have set up this page purely to allow anyone to donate a small amount of money towards this if they wish to! It would be lovely to give something back to these children and their community and any amount of money, whatever it would be will go a long way!
