Help me raise funds for a solo hiking adventure with my dog Troy. He is my best and most loyal friend.

The hike will take place in the Drakensberg mountains of South Africa and we will carry our food and water supplies for the 12 days. A custom made backpack is being made for Troy and his food. The total distance of the trail would be +- 100km's.

A little bit about myself and my vision:

My name is Deven Abrahams - a 25 year old male from South Africa. I am an avid hiker whom enjoy the outdoors and have an immense passion for the nature. Currently I am working with rhino conservation. The rhino I am looking after is called Osita, meaning; 'From today on wards it would be better'. On my adventure with Osita I have met the most wonderful lady whom wants to adventure with me. Her name is Caitlin, she is equally passionate about helping the natural environment and wants to work with me.

Troy is my most loyal friend and an equal adventurer. He loves being outside and are absolutely crazy about water. The aim of this adventure is to inspire people along the way and spread the word about the importance of conservation. Troy would accompany on all the hiking adventures as far as possible, he is currently almost four years old and in the peak of his life.

My last long distance hike I did was a 12 day hiking trail where I was walking alone for 6 days and with a group for the next 6 days. In total I covered +- 130km's.

Should this hike be successful it will act as a catalyst for a range of long distance hikes which will aid in preparation for the longest hiking trail in South Africa, at the end of 2017, followed by a climb of Mount Kilimanjaro (the highest mountain in Africa). The longest hike in South Africa is called The Rim of Africa and covers a long stretch of mountain ranges that stretches over 650km's. It would take 58days to complete.

If the first hike is successful and I can obtain enough funding a video will be made about the conservation of our natural resources and the challenges we are facing. The video along with the training trails would be used as a platform to obtain funds for The Rim of Africa and conservation projects. One of the conservation projects we aim to achieve is the establishment of a rehabilitation center for Africa's wildlife and endangered animals.

On the same onset of land an environmental education center would be opened up where under privileged human beings can come and obtain a new vision of life and understand their relationship with nature. Further plans to educate, feed, and house people are also underway. A certain part of the project would be dedicated to raising awareness about The Venus Project. A project that aims to convert the economic situation of this planet to a resourced based economy.

Clear details about every aspect would be discussed as the road continues. Should the first hike take of and be successful the project would ignite and expand significantly. A web page would be opened up to view updates about the hiking, the different trails, proposed projects, and the progress in funding and what it is used for.

As soon as the funding progresses the website will be launched and all the details as to equipment requirements and planning would be released on there.

I hope you find my adventure exciting and inspiring and that you would help me to achieve my dreams in helping others.

I wish you all and adventurous life!
