Smiles4Kyle

Please help Kyle, a 7 year old boy with a rare form of cerebrel palsy called PMD get his new wheelchair, he is growing so fast and the NHS won't cover the costs of the wheelchair he needs.  It is £17,000 and we can't afford it.

Kyle is like a nephew to me, my best friend's son was born 7 years ago with a rare condition called PMD. 

 He is permanently in a wheelchair and has very little control over his body.

 He is the happiest person I know, he is always smiling despite not being able to control his body

 or communicate through speech.  

Kyle is very smart and loves always learning new things. 

Kyle's family strive to give him the best life possible and we would all do anyhthing for him to help 

make things that wee bit easier on them. Unfortunately the things he needs are not cheap as it is specially modified for him.

Kyle's mum,Sami, is the strongest person i know and deserves a gold meadal, she takes it all in her stride, 

she is such an inspiration to young mums everywhere with kids with disabilities, 

she has dedicated her life to looking after her boy and fighting for rights with north lanarkshire council 

to do with housing (finding a suitable and accessible house) and much more. 

 She has a room in her house which is Kyles sensory room -space where he can relax and enjoy a comfy and calming environment with lights and 

toys which he can have fun playing with but Sami has now had to pay bedroom tax

(An extra sum of money ontop of her normal tax for just having a spare room) which on top of everything else is an un necessary cost.

We are always looking for ways to raise money for Kyle so he can have as normal a life 

as his family can give him and are currently looking to but him a new wheelchair as he is 

growing and will soon be able to steer himself on his own.  It is called a smart chair and is 

£17,000 as it is so specialised to his needs.
