Campaign Story
Hi I am a young business owner for a small company called Pentz Consulting that supplies and installs electrical equipment. I started the company in January 2020 after I was unemployed in December 2019. I originally studied law at Wits University but after several attempts of trying to get a job since 2016 I still couldn't get a job because I did not have a personal car which was and still is one of the requirements for medium sized law firms in South Africa. I then decided to work for an energy and construction company in 2018 to 2019 with no experience whatsoever in these fields. I realized a gap in the market after I was jobless in December.
Pentz Consulting was doing well in the first quarter of 2020 until the lockdown was imposed on the 23rd of March 2020. As a new business owner I have experienced a the toughest beginning and having to borrow to stay afloat. I managed to do a few more projects of supplying LED lighting to a few companies but it has been really quiet since September. I usually pay credits to get new leads on sites likes Snupit and Kandua so that my team of electrical contractors can also get a project to be able to feed their families.
I need your generous contributions to help me raise R19200 (USD $1200). This will cover company expenses such as travelling to site for free call outs around KwaZulu Natal (a province in South Africa) and paying for office rent for at least two months whilst we find our feet.
In return I will give out 5 electrical safety inspections and major discounts on all solar and LED lighting products to our most generous contributors around KZN or Gauteng Province.
