Help this ongoing fundraising campaign by making a donation and spreading the word.UPDATE!!! Amazingly, we were almost to our original goal of 2,000 dollars raised for the Millers! WOW all that can be said is WOW and thank you thank you all for your generosity and support. It is so greatly appreciated by Seth and Erica and their families. But honestly, that original number was just randomly selected in the distant HOPES that it would be reached. It helps immensly to cover immediate costs for the Millers and what looks like will be at least a week-long stay in the PICU for Baby Jack this time around. Fortunately, Seth and Erica are blessed to have good health insurance so many of the larger medical expenses will be covered, but what isn't covered (and what we can continue to help with) are the emotional strains that Little Jack and his family are going through. Erica took nearly no maternity leave after having little Jack and began almost immediately after his birth, providing daycare for several other children, yet has been unable to work even and entire full week due to Jack being in and out of the PICU. What they really need now is to be home as a family, alone, to recover, heal and continue to bond and for Jack to get bigger and stronger once he comes home. After speaking to Erica this morning, I've learned that this is what they need most right now and what they intend to do with the funding. She wants to take time off work for several full weeks. Be home with just her boys. Be away from germs. Recover. Heal emotionally. This is what they desprately need. a fresh start. a do-over. SO LETS BLOW THIS OUT OF THE WATER FOR BABY JACK! New goal. $4,000. WE CAN DO IT!!!!!!
As many of you already know, Seth and Erica Miller gave birth to their second beautiful son, Jack Harris on January 25th, 2013. He arrived almost two months premature and had a lengthy and stressful 3.5 week stay in the NICU. After just a few weeks of being home with his family, baby Jack contracted RSV, A dangerous respiratory virus that can be deadly for babies, especially of Jack's 7 lb size. On March 25th he was admited to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics to be very closely monitored and after seemingly recovering well, he was sent home on April 3rd. Last night (April 5th) in the middle of the night, Baby Jack stopped breathing and was rushed by ambulance back to UIHC PICU where he will stay until some more answers can be found as to why he is still having a tough time getting better.
The purpose of this fund is to help our dear friends and family members, Erica and Seth, with the enormous burden of Baby Jack's medical expenses. At this point, on their single income budget, even paying for parking at the hospital is becoming a huge weight. Right now, it is unknown how much longer they will be there.
So, please, donate what you can. $5, $20, $50...any amount will be so helpful and so greatly appreciated by this strong but tired family!!!!
This fund was created by Keely Knight. A highschool friend of Erica's.

Sorry to hear about this, it's a shame that such a good family has been through so much over the years.
