Gary Mathews is a single dad who went through a nasty divorce last year. He has been taken back to court numerous times by his daughter Sloane's mother for frivolous issues, costing him thousands of dollars in legal fees. A week from today, he has to go to court yet again because Sloane's mom just remarried and is trying to move Sloane out of state where Gary will lose much of his already sparse time with his daughter and take her away from all of her friends and family. Gary is fighting to keep Sloane, who is 7, in Southern Indiana. His goal is not to keep Sloane from her mom, just to keep her local and share custody 50/50. He's already spent so much, that he is looking for a smaller, less expensive home for himself and Sloane. Pride has kept him from seeking financial assistance, but as a single parent myself, I know there are plenty of people out there willing and able to help, so I set this account up to help raise money for legal fees.
