I will soon be setting on a 14 day trek up Everest too Base camp, peaking at 5360m.
Straight after this I will be volunteering for all Hands on Earthquake Recovery Nepal for 2 weeks giving up an extra pair of hands in the massive task of rebuilding some of the 5000 schools that were destroyed in the 2015 earthquake which Nepal and its population are still recovering from.
I thought I'd might as well link the 2 together and climb Everest with not just the intention of experiencing the beauty this climb will have to offer for my self but also make it a productive way of raising awareness and much needed funds to aid the same beutiful country still recovering from a devastating and expensive disaster.
Billions have been donated to the Nepali government following the quake from the likes of the US, UN and EU to aid rebuild some of the thousands of hospitals, schools as well as hundreds of historic monuments and temples destroyed in the country yet despite year old promises to the Nepali people, very little progress has been made. This Leaves it up too charities like All Hands On too help where they can!
So I hope you will be willing to drop some coins in and help a brother make a little difference.
All proceeds will be versed too the All hands on Earthquake Recovery. I've selected this charity carefully, it has one of the highest ratings out of any major charity(https://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=sea... ) and commits fully too spending all the money it can on the ground (90%) (a lot better than some which shall not named).
Thanks for reading, leave a little comment to let me know of your support or if you have any ideas or anything to add.
Peace out, love to you all,
