Silvia’s EDventure

I will be taking part in the South Africa program with EDventure International which consists of a leadership course and volunteering efforts.

The leadership course focuses on personal, cultural and social development that will further not only my volunteering efforts but also my professional realm back home, while the volunteering efforts are two-fold:

I will assist in caring for injured wildlife, or aiding conservation efforts focused on the ‘Big 5’ species (the lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino), visiting nature reserves such as tall forests, canyons, deserts and bushland to encounter South Africa's native wildlife and habitats.

I will also spend time in the rural areas in local schools teaching English, Maths and Science to disadvantaged children as many of them are parentless and lack social welfare. This allows me to give them the educational basics to help them create opportunities for a sustainable standard of living

I’m hoping to raise $2000 and I would be honoured if you assisted me in meeting my program costs through sponsorship. Even a minimal donation will help me on my way—every cent is truly appreciated.

Every donation over $10 merits a reward-- either gifts or a story authored by me. You will be asked for an address for both rewards, however I will only mail the gifts and email the stories.
