THE COVEN OF THE SILVER TREE is organizing our annual Samhain Evening, a ritual and potluck dinner open to the public. Unfortunately the Queen Anne Masonic Lodge where we have gathered in years past has raised their rates and begun to charge for items and services previously included in the rental, and the space is now out of our budget range. We were able to move the venue to Shoreline Unitarian Church, and look forward to continuing this tradition - with some help from you!
In the past, our coven leader has taken personal responsibility for the rental and asked for donations at the door to defray the cost. No one has ever been turned away for lack of funds, and we will continue to keep it that way. Our coven leader, however, cannot continue to front the budget for the event herself and hope that donations will make up the difference.
Pagans do not tithe for or donate to our churches. We have no organized clerical body responsible for securing space for our rituals or paying for our functions. Our community thrives via the cooperation of friends and family and the people willing to put forth their time, effort, and resources to see our events succeed. This is your opportunity to be a part of that network of support, and secure a sacred space for our ceremony.
Help Silver Tree Coven ensure that we may continue to provide an evening of love, remembrance, and reverence to all comers. Even if you aren't able to attend, you can still contribute - every donation makes a difference!
**If you have a name of a loved one (or animal friend) who has passed on this year and wish for them to be remembered in our Reading of Names, we will gladly add them to our list, regardless of attendance or donation. You may submit these names to Campaign Owner Carla Fisher via the "Send a Message" function.**
