Sienna Scholars Win Houston Regionals of WSC - Qualify for Globals Three teams of Houston-area middle and high school students from the Sienna Plantation community have earned the right to represent the United States at the World Scholar's Cup in Singapore from June 24-27, 2014. With school out for summer, no district funding is available to help send these young scholars to the global championships where 2000+ students from close to 40 nations will be competing in four unique events (team debate, collaborative writing, scholar's bowl, and scholar's challenge) in six different subjects related to the overall theme 'The World Within'. We are asking for donations of all amounts - no amount is too small to help fund the costs of competition ($400 per student), hotel, and airfare.
