Hello! And thank you for visiting my page. Firstly I'll just explain the purpose of this.. Me and my best friend Rebecca have finally taken the scary plunge into adulthood and booked flights straight out of the country to go and see the world!

Our plans so far are as follows.. First stop Delhi, India where we will be visiting the Taj Mahal! We stay here for 6 days before flying on to Bangkok, Thailand. We spend 3 days here then travel down Phuket to explore all of East thailand and the beautiful Islands and hopefully spend some time with the elephants! After 8 days here we fly over to the other side of Thailand, and will be sailing between the islands of Koh Samui, Koh Tao and Koh Pangan (which is where I'll be spending my 22nd birthday!) and of course will be attending the full moon party.

After recovering in the sun we need to make our way down to Kuala Lumpa, Malaysia. After a few days here we then fly to Borneo! This is one of the places I'm most excited about visiting, as we will be going straight to the orangutang sanctuaries! Providing we are able to drag ourselves away, we will then continue our journey to Bali. After here we fly to Sydney, Australia, but go straight up to Cairns and will then make our way back down the east coast visiting different places along the way and obviously a long stop off at Steve Irwins zoo! I'm even determined to concour my fear of deep water so I can experience the beauty of the great barrier reef. This is where will be spending Beccas 22nd birthday! And hopefully will have made our way to Sydney for Christmas where we will spend our day with beer on the beach tossing shrimps on the barbie. After welcoming in the new year we will fly back to Kuala Lumpa where Becca will be going back to the UK :( and I will stay and hopefully meet 2 of my other friends somewhere in Thailand!

So, that's the plans, all booked and set to leave 2nd November! Luckily I'd already been saving for over a year so was able to pay for my flights in one go. So now im on a mission to save every penny to help me on my way with food, trips, travel and accommodation. Which means a very boring summer for me! But it'll all be worth it so I cant complain. Apart from the obvious reasons for travel (I'm young and want to have fun!) there is 2 main reasons.

First being that I am a strong believer that as humans we are all equal and the world is for everyone to explore. Nobody should feel restricted to one place simply because that is where they were born. Having said this I think it is a beautiful and an amazing thing to visit countries and learn their history and culture, where people pray, where they eat and how they live their lives. I think travelling will open my eyes to the world and enable me to understand and appreciate peoples morals and beliefs. These are things that will stay with me for life and affect the way I choose to live my own life. And any friends made along the way I'm sure will stay with me for life also.

But more importantly, I want to travel to help my career. My dream is to work with animals, it is all I see myself happy doing. If you know me you will already know that I'm the type of person who stops on a sunny day to move worms to the shade, and feeds stray dogs whilst on a party holiday in Zante. I wish I could expand my love and care for animals and help the wildlife left orphaned because of poachers and animals that are being locked up and killed for the meat/fur trade. I want to make a difference, help conservation, and try to make people see things the way I do - so you will all be saving worms from going crispy! On my travels I hope to volunteer in sanctuaries and orphanages which will help me get a better understanding of where i want to spend my life, what I want to do, and get me on the right track to a career in something I am passionate about.

So coming to the end of my essay, the reason I have made this page - to raise money. As I have tried to explain there is lots we want to do, lots of places to visit and this will all cost a lot of money. So if you also love animals, or travelling, or just love me(!) then I'd be really appreciative and grateful if you could help me to fufill my dreams and donate a pound or 2 to help me on my way. I've put no 'target goal' as honestly any amount will help incredibly. I'll update my Facebook (and make you all super jealous) with all the activities we do, the places we visit as OF COURSE the animals!!! And hopefully it will make you feel really good inside that you helped me get there...?

A big thank you for bothering to read this (or just skim through it) I hope it hasn't been to boring! I didn't mean to make it so long haha. And the biggest thank you I could possibly give to anyone whom is generous enough to be able to donate some money. All my love, Shani xxxxx
