The Singapore Men's Floorball team has been preparing and training towards the upcoming 2016 World Floorball Championship in Riga, Latvia. The team comprises a mixture of experienced players who are working adults and younger players who are currently tertiary students. The National boys, along with the coaching staff are in the final preparation phase and putting their maximum focus and effort into their on-court training, to do Singapore proud come December.
Off-court, the most important issue facing all the players and coaching staff (total of 23 persons) is the raising of funds to help off-set the cost that they are currently SELF-FUNDING.
With the support now of Sport Singapore, assisting to ensure that all financial and governance systems are in place, National Men’s Team Fundraising campaigns like goal-keeper clinics, selling of t-shirts, sale of players-signatured sticks have been implemented, but it is still far from reaching our overall target of SGD$70,000 (which amounts to approximately SGD$3,000 per person).
With less than 3 months before we depart for Riga, we are seeking support of SGD$30,000, which can cover approximately half of the total expenses. Every cent, Every dollar helps. We hope you can be part of our #sgfloorballunite journey towards the Men’s World Floorball Championship 2016.
