Campaign Story
Hi Park friends! Thanks for making your way to our fundraising page!
For two weeks, we will be caring for orphans, HIV/AIDS groups, the Maasai people, and abused children through Global Volunteer Network and their local partner, V.I.C.D.A. While living with local families, we will take on the role of older sibling/mentor to children in the area, a relationship that is often taken for granted.
During our time there, we will assist with classroom teaching and homework help, childcare, and the daily operational running of a home and an orphanage. We'll also be organizing our own activities - including arts and crafts, music, and sports - for local children.
Would you be willing to partner with us A) in prayer and/or B) by making a donation to help us cover program fees and other costs? *Program fees, accomodations, food costs and vaccinations run nearly $2,000 per volunteer.
