Campaign Story
My son Calum and I would love an extra room / conservatory/ lean to !! added to our council bungalow. My son is 23 and has Aspergers Syndrome and I have breast cancer. We are fortunate that we have a small bungalow in a very supportive village . It is the usual set up of one single one double bedroom. The kitchen is open to the lounge. It can be quite closed in and suffocating at times!! Calum is now an adult and we dont have a lot of privacy from each other. We both would love that extra space were either of us can go and relax and look out to the fields beyond. I have had 2 operations so far and am due to start chemo soon then radiotherapy and would love that extra space to go to and contemplate life and Calum would love that space to go and Stim / let off steam and not disturb me.. If you feel you can help us achieve this we both would be eternaly grateful !!! We dont want anything fancy , a second hand one will do and I know people who will help construct it, we have the space in the garden , we just need some funding to be able to achieve our dream. Calum is willing to go bald when i do due to my chemo to help us raise funds !!! Many thanks for taking time to read this , Jo and Calum Warden xx
Any money over will be donated to Macmillan and the National Autistic Society
