As many people know, I love to travel, and even more I love music. Throughout my travels I have always had the thought lingering in my mind on how I can help people and make the world a better place. So I applied to volunteer in Kenya to teach children in Kenya music. Yes... KENYA! And thankfully I have been accepted. The program I am going with is called International Volunteer HQ and every year they send hundreds of volunteer over to Africa and other countries in need. I will be arriving in the city of Nairobi and going to different locations in Kenya teaching music in schools. The lessons will be based around very basic music theory, voice, and instrumental training.
On August 10th I turn 19. I ask for nothing for my birthday but some help from family, friends, and fans of my music to send me over to Africa for 2 weeks beginning on January 15th. While I am nervous, I more excited to go to a country that I only hear stories of. I am so excited to meet the locals and teach the universal language of music.
Down below I will link the website to International Volunteer HQ and videos so anybody who wants some more information can be check it out!
