Send Khylie to Los Angeles!

Hi everyone! For those of you who don't know me, my name is Khylie and I'm a film student at NAU. I have the amazing opportunity to be an intern at MGM studios in LA this summer. MGM interviewed more than 100 people for this internship, but is only offering the position to a dozen people.

This internship will not only look incredible on my resume, but it could be the edge I need to kick start my career. It's an opportunity that I really can't pass up. There's only one small (major?) problem: MGM's internships are unpaid positions. That means that I need to get to California, pay rent, and support myself without the help of a paycheck. I have a little bit of money saved up to get me started, but it's really only enough to make a small dent. 

Which is where you come in!

If everyone on my facebook friends list donated $10 dollars to help me get to California, my dream could become a reality! I'm budgeting for about $2400 this summer. You can see the breakdown here:

$200 - Roundtrip Phoenix to Los Angeles, according to the AAA gas calculator

$200 - Gas while in L.A.

$1400 - Two months rent

$600 - Food and other necessities

These numbers are pretty optimistic, but I can make it happen. Any help that you can contribute would be incredibly appreciated - even if it's just a share or a retweet to help get the word out.
