We're Brandon Craig and Josh McAuley. We do comedy. We're performing at this years Edinburgh Fringe festival
Unfortunately we (and seemingly half the other people performing at this years fringe) feel victim to a rather clever scam artist when booking accommodation for the Edinburgh Fringe this summer. Whilst the police deal with it this leaves us with a little issue, he's run off with £1000 and we have nowhere to stay and no accommodation budget remaining. He also has my flyers but that's by the by. We've considered the options, called in favours and even floated a plan involving sleeping in the beds of accommodating men whilst storing belongings in a gym. Unfortunately it's come to this: crowdfunding. Yep, bloody crowdfunding.
We've successfully located accommodation for the first few days but given our run is for almost a month this isn't going to stretch. Any and all funds raised will be spent purely on arranging accommodation for the run of the fringe. If by some weird set of circumstances any extra money is leftover it will be split between Epilepsy Action and Terrence Higgins Trust. Likewise, the police have stated that we're unlikely to get our money back but should it somehow happen after we've done the fringe it will go to those charities.
We hate having to do this but this guys really screwed us over, finding out with one week to go didn't help, this is quite literally a last resort. If you can afford to help us out with anything we'd be incredibly grateful and we can promise the biggest hugs next time we see you. (If you can please use paypal, I know that sounds cheeky but it processes immediately and Brandon is on the train in seven hours).
