Hello, everyone! Thanks for visiting my funding page.
This past month, I was accepted to be a participant in the League of American Orchestras Essentials of Orchestra Management seminar (in other words, "Orchestra Management Boot Camp"). The seminar will take place from February 4-13, 2014 in New York City. This is an unique opportunity for me to develop myself professionally, as I advance my career as an advocate for orchestral music and pursue my goal of helping to lead arts organizations to success in the 21st century.
It is certainly not inexpensive to be in NYC for 10 days, however, and presents a large financial burden. The costs associated with my trip are:
$1900 - Tuition
$800 - Accomodations (booked through Airbnb)
$150 - Transportation (estimated)
$250 - Food (estimated)
TOTAL = $3100
To help defray those costs, I'm looking to raise up to $1200 -- roughly the cost of my housing, transportation, and food. If you have it in your heart to donate a little bit of money to help, even just a few dollars will make a difference. A little bit of support can go a long way!
Thank you so much,
P.S. If you're interested in learning more about the seminar, check out this highlight video from 2011: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pj14OnQ-gHA&feature=plcp.
