Campaign Story
Online scams are now rampant in Singapore, with millions of dollars lost and never recovered. On 10 April 2019, my partner, unfortunately, fell victim to a loan scam while he was desperately trying to find a way to pay off his urgent bills and loans. He lost a total of approximately $2,000.
He is the breadwinner for a family of 6, and on his salary, it is hard enough to keep up with his responsibilities as is. He has never spent much on himself, and yet he has never complained to me or his family about his struggles. He is a sweet man in a difficult spot. Since this unfortunate incident happened, he has absolutely no more money on hand to pay for his bills this month, let alone suffice himself for his daily expenses. I, alone, as a student cannot financially help him; but I was hoping that as a community we could.
Today, I set up this campaign to seek and beg for your kind donations of any amount to help him get back up on his two feet by alleviating his daily needs (i.e. food, transport) for this month. I am not asking of this as someone who knows him, I am asking of this as a human being. All proceeds will go to him. Please help a man in need; I'll pray that your kind act is rewarded, and that you would ever have to go through such struggle.
