Seeing Thunder

Hi! We are group of filmmaking students from NTU and this documentary is part of our final year project. To us, this project holds so much heart and we went beyond to make this documentary a possibility, and hopefully a beam of light in this topic of discussion. Every donation counts and all the money will be used to cover our bare costs such as interpretation services, welfare for our profiles and transportation costs. Seeing Thunder is a documentary that threads on the hidden conundrums in the deaf world. Within the deaf and the hearing world is a fine line – so what’s it like to live within as an in-betweener?

This immersive film follows two individuals as they unpack stigma and perspective, forging their own identities, diversity and equality. Essentially, redefining the perception of sound through vibrations, movements, and facial expressions – Sounds which can be interpreted and anything but heard just like when seeing thunder.
