A second chance at life.

I never thought I will be doing this as I have always been stubborn and independent. Keeping things to myself and doing things all by myself as long as I can. Lately though I have been reminded with the reality that it is but okay to reach out for help.

Mama suffered from a Hemorraghic stroke (a vein ruptured in her head) which rendered her comatose for a week now. She was rushed to the hospital in Bukidnon (Gov hospital) and had to transfer her to La Viña General Hospital (Private Hosp) as the previous hosp lacked medical facilities and she needs critical care. She was immediately rushed to the ICU and have undergone labs/test. We were advised by her doctor that she needs to undergo surgery where they will remove the blood in her brain. They told us to prepare 100k just for the downpayment and I can only imagine how much the total procedure will cost. We already incurred 40k from the first hospital she was admitted to and is currently paying almost 10k-15k daily for her ICU bed and meds. She does not have insurance and we've already exhausted all our savings to support her needs.

At this point I don’t know which is more painful, us being away from her and not have the chance to take care of her and what she is going through or knowing I don’t have that amount to help her.

And here comes the point where I did not originally intend on doing: asking for financial assistance.I am determined to be courageous during this challenging situation, but I have to admit, not knowing where to find the resources needed has me very distracted and worried.

No amount is too small when pooled together it will go a long way for us.
