Nursing Volunteer experience in Tanzania

My name is Katie, I am a Child Nursing student in my second year at university. As part of the course there is an elective placement at the end of the second year of studying where students can choose to take part in any placement of their choice. Therefore, on 14th July 2018 I am travelling to Tanzania to volunteer in a government hospital in Arusha. This is an exciting opportunity for me where I will have the chance to spend time in different departments of the hospital and learn how healthcare is provided in Tanzania. This is an opportunity I have wanted to experience from a very young age and I am very much looking forward to being able to observe the culture and conditions in this area of the world. I am hoping to raise some money to help with funding this trip, the money raised will go towards my immunisations and other costs for my travels.
