Campaign Story
My son is an Iraqi War Veteran (USMC) who developed addiction to pain meds after sustaining injuries from mortar attack in 2006. 11 years and 7 months later, he's 90 days sober...found awesome recovery at a private facility in Texas - 1,843 miles from home (Upstate NY). Treatment was paid 100% out-of-pocket by loving family members. Now he's settled in his new community there but his truck is back home; without it he's sort of stuck. It needs work so he can't drive it down...we want to ship it to him, but we're tapped out. It's not only the truck, we need to pack the truck with his belongings including his tree climbing/cutting gear so he can make his way to self-sufficiency doing what he loves. The boy needs his truck...please help me get it to Texas and increase his Second Chance for success. If you can contribute just a few bucks I would be forever grateful! By the way, he would never approve of this "ask", but a mom's gonna do what she needs to do. Thank you so much for your consideration. Another thought...if you're a trucker reading this, you've got room for a truck in your rig, you're planning to through NY to TX anytime within the next month, and you've got a big heart (say, the size of Texas)...message me.
