Second Chance

This is a non-profit fund founded by my wife, Marissa, and myself to give the animals in our communities a second chance. A second chance at happiness and the time to find the right parent to share their unconditional love. A childhood friend of mine, CPL Max Donahue, was killed in Afghanistan in 2010. His memory, to me, was his passion for his Military Working Dogs...and milk jug boxing (don't ever let your kids do that..it's dangerous). Not too long after, I returned from my deployment from Afghanistan and was diagnosed with PTSD and Tramatic Brain Injury as risidual to a Helicopter crash. Now in no way is this a crutch to me, but becoming a father to a beautiful Lab, Max, who seemed to always do the right things in making my life brighter, I believe my purpose in life now is to give. To give to those who always seem to either drive us crazy by eating our childrens toys or help us sleep better by keeping our feet warm at the edge of the bed. All donations will go to the purchase of dog necessities such as food, clean drinking water, shelters, help pay for medical expenses. I will also be reaching out to those dogs who have provided our country a service. Through time, pending the success of this fundraiser, I have hopes to build a shelter. But in the short term, focus will be on the hairy ones in the local communities.
