Scoliosis SOS

Hi, my name is Mollie, I am 21 years old and come from Liverpool, England.

I have set this fundraising page as I am trying to raise enough money for me to try an alternative treatment for my scoliosis which prevents the need for surgery in 80% of cases.

For those who don't know, Scoliosis is a curvature of the spine, which depending on the severity of the curve can be quite debilitating. The surgery is a fairly major one with several hours of surgery followed by a lengthy rehabilitation period and not always successful as I have found out myself. I had scoliosis spinal fusion surgery 9 years ago which resulted in me having metal rods screwed to my spine to straighten me. I had a lengthy recovery and it was physical and mentally a lot for me to go through espically at such a young age. Unfortunately my scoliosis has started progressing again which puts me on the list for a second spinal fusion.

I have found an alternative to surgery. The clinic we have found is in London and it is the only place in the UK offering this treatment, even though it is the premier treatment for scoliosis in Germany and Spain. I had a consultation at the clinic and they really think they can help me avoid a second spinal fusion surgery with their 4 week intensive one on one course.
