Scars is the first organisation to open with a vision a little different to other rescues - to assist the most desperate and emotionally damaged animals deemed unhomable and broken, which is a huge problem in South Africa. Animals with such severe behavioural problems do not find homes and most often get put to sleep. Our goal is to assist these animals and other organisations with these animals, to take them in for rehabilitation to help heal them so they too can become adoptable. If they are not we offer sanctitude to those who cannot be adopted out provided the quality of life is there. We havr been successful in homing many of our worst cases. We are growing rapidly and the demand for this care is ever increasing, we need to buy a farm big enough to help us achieve what seems impossible and also a vehicle to assist us in transporting animals and daily tasks as ours is suffering and incapable of the heavy burden. We have been running for 2.5 years and need help to grow, maintain and achieve our biggest of dreams - making an impact in the animal rescue sector in a positive manor to minimize the large amount of unwanted and neglected animals. We are aiming high and dreaming big! We want massive educational drives and sterilisation campaigns and maybe even a clinic one day offering affordable health care services to under-priviliaged communities for their pets. But we cannot do any of this with some fundamental basics.... Like roof over our animals and our heads..
