At the moment I am the only one in South Africa who is managing to propagate and grow the rare Platycerium Madagascarensis ferns from spore. I buy the the spore from a contact in Madagascar and this then takes me 2 - 4 years until the plants are big enough to rehome. I am currently busy growing all the Platyceriums from Madagascar as they are being stripped from the wild. I have converted my lounge into a grow room and this works well while the plants are still small but I need to now build a hot house with temperature and humidity controls in order to raise the ferns to their full size and potential.

For each donation of $1 000.00, I will send you a Platycerium Madagascariensis (or Ellisii, Alcicorne Madagascariensis, Quadridichotomum) which has been grown from wild plants in Madagascar.
