Hello everyone! My name is Victoria Jaramillo, I am making this page for hope in a MIRACLE happening. My uncle Ambrocio Jaramillo is a pastor, father, husband, son, and friend. He is diognosed with Huntington's disease, very early stages. It is not curable, and is the most toxic disease that I know. Huntington's disease ( HD ) is an inherited condition in which nerve cells in the brain break down over time. Also it is rare, less than 200,000 people have it. I've seen what it can do to the ones you love. The hardest thing to deal with is the fact that Huntington's doesn't kill you, it's what it leads to will. For example, chocking, falling, heart failure, the more natural things, and lastly suicide. 8% of people with Huntington's disease will committ suicide.
My father also has Huntington's and he is getting close to his last stage. 5 years I took care of him, the hardest thing ever to know there's nothing you can do, but sit back and watch them deteriorate. He lives in an assistant living home now, because of his condition. The most you can hope for is that they live a blissful, and peaceful life.
So I am asking for donations to my uncle, he had his first doctor appointment recently and there will be many more to come. He is stuck between working and trying to get approved for social security. There is a chance he may not qualify for it, and since some signs have occured, working can become quite dangerous, and also when you have Huntington's you can not qualify for life insurance. I want to give him the chance to live worry free.
Stress is the number one worry for any person who has taken or is taking care of someone who has HD. It increases the progression of the disease. Increasing side effects such as uncontrollable movement in the body, memory loss, impaired thinking, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, weight loss, mood swings, and so many more.
I believe this will make a change. This will be his MIRACLE.
He is loved and cherished by so many.. He has changed so many peoples lives through Christ. From preaching at his church, speaking through a radio station, taking the time to reach out to others in jail, giving them the strength to move on from there past mistakes and let them know that there mistakes don't define them. That they are loved and cared for and not forgotten. He will open his home to you, feed you, cloth you, and everything inbetween. Growing up from poverty, to working 10 to 12 hour shifts, becoming a pastor and not only preaches, reading his bible, sings and is great muscian, to still taking care of his kids, cooking, clean, all the above actually haha and still has the time give his all. That deserves recognition!
Let's us show him our appreciation, and that he's not alone in this.
Amen and God bless.
