I never thought I would see the day that all our good works would be lost, that our horses would no longer have an advocate, that we would no longer be part of the community. My heart is broken, and I will miss each and every one of you for you have touched my heart in so many different ways. It has been both an honor and a privilege to know and work with you all. I count you among my friends who have become family. Most of you have heard that we have lost our long term land lease. We consider you all our family and we are now asking for your help as we move forward to Save the SummerWinds. We plan to stay for as long as we can. We are in the community to help the horses, to provide rescue and rehabilitation services for horses in need. We then retrain these horses and find them new, and loving homes. Most of our horses are part of our ever-expanding youth and volunteer program that also gives back to the community. I know that there are hundreds of horses and kids that we have helped now its time for us to help out and let the world know just how important we are to the community and to each other. That%96%92s a lot of horses to move! We found a new farm about 20 minutes away from our current farm. Its on 26 acres on the water. There are 30 stalls, a barn apartment, a stone house/office, a huge indoor overlooking the river, an outdoor ring and built in cross-country jumps. The farm is in an obvious state of disrepair, with a lot of hard work ahead of us. Im not afraid of hard work if it means a home for our horses and our farm family. We are currently about 10,000.00 short on closing costs to buy this farm. We don%92%92t have a lot of time to raise this money, so we are turning to you for help. Now more than ever, we need your help so that we can move forward together, united, as we have always been. Lets continue saving horses, helping kids and making memories...please Donate and let us know you will help us today.
