Introduction

The males in societies is faced with cultural change and the redefinition of male role is traumatic and rendered many males without a clear definition of manhood, masculinity and fatherhood. Many of our current social problems such as teenage pregnancy, crime and poverty flow from purposeless and lack of direction among males. Majority of crimes are committed by males, it has also become scary on how young boys are being involved in violent crimes, about 90 -95% of those in prison are males.

Whether we are talking about a broken home, an abused wife, an abandoned child or crime, we are looking primarily of a male problem that stems from misguided purpose or lack of identity. Why are many social ills caused by males? It may be tempting to some to dismiss males hopelessly, aggressively and domineering with an essential nature in need of an overhaul.
