Save our bunnies – RHD has struck!

RHD (Rabbit Heamoragic Disease) has struck South Africa and has currently caused huge losses in the Garden Route... colonies in Knysna started and before we knew what hit, one of our own colonies have been struck, our very first feral colony that was caught sterilized, rehabilitated and released.

In 2 days our work of 2 years have been wiped out... the colony that taught me about what their structure and hyrarchy is. We studied them... I handraised babies...

I am realistic enough to know that we cannot save all our bunnies ever rescued, there are literaly hundreds. But please... I have such special souls in the Haven... disabled but happy. Their normal is just different. They have been through so much... to just let this virus destroy what they have survived is just terrible.
