My name is Anand, and I’ve been working in Singapore since 2013, holding a S-Pass, together with my wife.
When we heard that we’re expecting a baby, and it’s a boy, we were extremely excited, and plan to have the baby born in India, which we had already decided to go back at the end of July 2018, as the baby is only due in September 2018.
However, on 01 July, my wife could not feel the baby’s movement, and we immediately rush to KK Hospital in Singapore to check on the baby’s condition. Doctor told us that if we do not take the baby out immediately, we will not be able to save the baby.
We were devastated and the only right thing to do is to bring our son out to this world prematurely. Hence, Baby Pragadeesh Krishna was born on his 28 weeks.
Next came our financial issue, as we’re both not citizens here in Singapore, there’s no subsidy on our baby’s treatment, and the hospital had estimated our bill to be around $186,000, which we cannot afford that kind of money, and we’re not able to bring our baby home to India yet.
