For Max the Lab

UPDATE

We had no choice but to agree to let the vet amputate Max's leg. We are out of time & money, we have sold everything we can, worked every extra shift we can get our hands on,but it wasn't enough & now our beautiful brave boy is struggling with a terrible infection. If there is no improvement by Monday then we will make the hardest decision of all & our gorgeous giant fur ball will go to sleep one last time & travel over the rainbow bridge.

please help save Max's leg.

This is Max, our daft 4 year old Labrador. He is the softest, gentlest dog, who still thinks he's a puppy & tries to sit on your lap.

Of course being the daft dog that he is, he waited until we had just changed pet insurance providers to chase our neighbors cat into the road & get hit by a car. When we rang the insurance company they informed us there was a two week waiting period where he wasn't insured.

The vet has given us two,options, extensive reconstruction surgery on his leg to fix the damage or amputate it.

Max is only 4 years old & we want him to have the best quality of life. The surgery will cost £1500, we've raised £1000, but we desperately need to,raise another £500 by the end of the month.
