US$3,759.00raised of $65,000.00 goal goal
Owning a restaurant has always been my dream. One that seemed unattainable for a very long time. I know that I am one of millions affected by Covid and the recent violence in our province of KZN. I have tried everything to keep our doors open but the truth is I need help. Artisan and Tribe are more than just restaurants to me, it’s my space in the community. I love what I do more than I could ever describe and to be honest I am afraid. I am afraid of losing everything I have worked so hard for. There are no more loans to apply for, no more staff relief, no more grants to hope you qualify for. We cannot get into any more debt. It’s the simple reality and that’s why I am still doing this… because I have to fight to be able to stay here. I have no other choice.
I believe we feed souls in Artisan and Tribe. We shore up our community with food, music and love. We have built two homes to come to for rest and rejuvenation… a metaphorical large round table where people can belong to a community without judgement, bias, race, gender or colour. Most importantly we love our community and being part of it. It’s the people that make the place and the people around us is why we are fighting to remain.
Please help us keep the dream and vision of Artisan Café and Tribe alive. Please help us to keep our home to be able to continue to keep it open for people like you to visit. Please help me to be able to provide for my family, not just my daughters but each of the staff involved with Artisan and Tribe, and their families in turn. It’s incredibly hard to ask for help, but I do ask, please help us.
