Save a father’s eyesight

Please help us gather funds to allow Hassan to have a sight saving surgery in France.

Hassan and his family live near Casablanca. He works as a parking attendant and his wife Zohra works as a cleaning lady in the building where my brother lives.

Following an accident he had some years ago Hassan has lost sight in his right eye and that's irreversible. His visual acuity on his left eye is 20/100 and he is progressively loosing his sight in that eye as well. If nothing is done he will be blind in a couple of years. But something could be done. There is a surgery that can restore his eyesight in that eye and make it 20/20 again.

This surgery will not only save Hassan's eyesight. It will allow his whole family to continue to live a decent life. It will preserve their dignity. It will allow their four years old daughter to continue to go to school and have a bright future.

If Hassan looses the remaining of his eyesight the income of his wife will barely cover their rent and tragic consequences will follow for the entire family.

I know Hassan and his family because every time I visit my brother my own son plays with Doaa, Hassan's daughter. She's a beautiful, intelligent four years old who deserves a chance in life. I got to know Hassan and his wife Zohra. They are simple people, they are generous and kind hearted and most importantly they are a happy family.

I personaly can't stand the idea of this man loosing his eyesight. I can't stand the idea of Little doaa having to quitt school and have a tough life because her dad can't see anymore and therefore can't work anymore. I can't stand the idea of this beautiful happy family having to face such a tragic situation. I can't stand it even more when I know something could be done about it.

Our family will contribute significantly to the cost of the surgery but we cannot donate the full amount. That's the reason we are starting this fund raising. Please help us restore this amazing father and loving husband eyesight.
