Campaign Story
Lockdown has had a big effect on South African families during this time. Many of whom can’t work and therefore can’t feed their children. I am privileged enough to be able to sit in my house and not worry about these things but the majority of South African kids don’t have that luxury.
Sarmy Army was formed by a group of friends to help a food shelter who feed over 250 kids ( twice a day if possible) and adults .
We have reached out to our friends to donate any dry goods and food they can and we collect as much as we can on a weekly trip. Each weekly trip we go out with the goal to collect enough to keep the shelter sustained for the week.
We have used our donations to buy clothes for the upcoming winter, electricity to help cook soup and porridge and other basic necessities to keep the kids from starving. These wonderful ladies at the shelter work tirelessly to feed these kids but they survive on our donations.
Any help whatsoever would help keep these kids nourished and healthy for the winter.
