A homeless 'Santa Claus' got an early Christmas present after thieves stole all his belongings.
Christmas came early for Fernand Gautreau when a Good Samaritan couple replaced the items.
The rough sleeper likes to dress up as Father Christmas each year to spread festive cheer.
The 64-year-old was left devastated when heartless crooks stole his bag, blanket, bicycle, clothes - and even his Santa suit.
Heartbroken Mr Gautreau, who has slept on the streets for three years, shared his tale with Aleisha MacPherson.
She told the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC): "The look in his eyes when he was telling me this, it really played on my heartstrings."
"It really hurt my feelings that someone would do that to someone less fortunate."
