10 years ago I injured both of my feet in the US Army. One of the main areas to keep myself in shape was running which I could not do any longer. My weight nearly doubled. In February of this year, I made the decision to change my life. At this time I was experiencing severe health problems as I would become nauseated from eating. I went 2 weeks without eating a meal. I lost a few pounds just from not being able to eat. I used this as my kickoff point. I began running again regardless of the pain I felt. As of today I have dropped 40 out of 120 lbs to regain my fitness level. My goal is two fold. First, I am a notoriously picky eater, it takes careful planning for me to eat healthy as I can't just have a salad because I don't eat lettuce. There are millions of us out there and I want to show people that anyone can be healthy. Also I'm raising money to be an advocate to the alternatives to weight loss surgery. With the right effort many people can change their life without such a risky procedure.
