Roztoč Fest 2022

Roztoč 2022 was a blast.

If you were there you've probably noticed we had a new, much bigger venue, many more stages, a richer program... and a lot of rain too. We were facing many challenges and the festival ended up being 4x more expensive than last year and 2x more expensive than estimated. Still, we managed to get close to zero - "only" some 4800€ minus - which is almost a miracle given the higher costs and fewer visitors, since many didn't come because of the super bad weather forecast.

Nevertheless, we worked hard to make the festival good. As soon as the weather forecast seemed to be quite clear about all that rain, we decided to book two more large tents that definitely saved the festival (the circus tent at the fire space and the big stretch tent at the Sunset Stage). That was a last-minute, unforeseen cost, but thank God we managed to find them.

Also, actually, only about half of the people at the festival paid the entrance fee. Others didn't since they were either volunteers, artists, instructors, or they contributed in another way. This is what makes Roztoč what it is - rich in program, decorations, and installations. But it's really hard to raise the funds that are needed.

Therefore, we are now asking you for help! Have you enjoyed the festival? Even a small contribution will help us to pay for this year and will make it easier to organise the next one!

We're short on funds, but we don't miss motivation! This year was a big lesson. The festival went one level higher, again. We've learned important lessons and we're already preparing to deliver even more amazing stuff to you in 2023. And you know what? It's going to be Roztoč's 10 anniversary next year! So we definitely will make it a good one! But first, we need to close the accounting of the 9th edition. So, if you like what we do, help us get there.
